Danny started his ice skating class today! Every 6 weeks or so, he is able to choose different classes to take through his school. This time they were offering ice skating. They had a bunch of kids from Kindergarten to 8th grade sign up. Danny loved it!
Towards the end of the hour, Danny decided he didn't want to use the red support bars. I think he was watching the older kids. He did very well. Next week, we will bring the bike helmet, better socks and warmer pants.

Mia and Reagan

I took Mia to a festival in Springboro. This slide was huge! She had no fear.
Mia has started Basketball through the YMCA. She is still getting used to it. We'll see how it goes. This is her shooting a basket.
This is Reagan and her friends hanging out on the floor.

Halloween part 2

Here are a few pictures from Halloween. Danny was Commander Foxx, Mia was Alice in Wonderland and Reagan was a Ladybug. They had a great time trick or treating. Reagan slept most of the time. It was pretty cold here.
We started feeding Reagan rice cereal. She doesn't like it much so we aren't really pushing it.

Halloween

Sycamore Creek held its Halloween party today. This is the first of many opportunities for the kids to wear their costumes. We did not dress Reagan up today because we were afraid she'd bee too warm.

More pictures

Reagan is just the happiest baby ever. She spends most of her time awake trying to get Danny and Mia's attention-or anyone who is holding her. She coos and smiles and gurgles at us. She still doesn't fuss at all. Mia loves to hold her and lay next to her. She is great about talking to her or giving her a pacifier.
Danny has started fall ball. He has 3 friends on his team, so he is really enjoying this. This will be the last t-ball session until the spring. I think 3 is plenty but he does love it!

Mia's first day of Preschool

Mia had a challenging first day of school. She did not want me leaving her! She has a couple of friends in her class, so I didn't think it would be an issue. Friday went a little bit better. Danny had gym the day I took this picture- I normally would never send him to school looking like this!In case there were any questions about what Danny was going to be for Halloween- he chose Commander Fox from Star Wars. Mia has been watching Alice in Wonderland lately, so she is going to be Alice. I am having a tough time finding an outfit for Reagan.

Kindergarten

Danny has started Kindergarten! He seems to be enjoying it. I don't get much from him as far as what they do all day. I hear about who was what Star Wars character on the playground and what everyone had for lunch. He has a few friends and a neighbor in his class, so we are all trying to piece it together. Mia will start preschool 3 days a week on Wednesday.

Here is a picture of Reagan. We haven't taken too many of her, but she is getting so big! She is probably up to 11 or 12 pounds by now.

Kelly's visit

Here are a few pictures from when my sister and dad came to visit. Kelly and I took the girls to Wegerzyn Garden while my dad took the boys to the Air Force Museum.

Eddie and Danny went to tennis lessons.

Mia's favorites

The kids love getting mail! Today we had a few big packages on our porch (we've received a lot lately and I promise thank you cards are coming!). Aunt Pat sent this for Mia- it was Carolines first ballet recital outfit. Needless to say, Mia thinks it is the greatest thing on earth. I wish you could see the General Greivous Star Wars tattoo on her shoulder.

Kids

Just a few pictures of the kids. Reagan is doing well, she is a very easy baby so far. She still sleeps a lot. When she is awake, she is just looking around. This was Mia's first time holding her.
Danny is at a Star Wars camp this week. He is having a blast! They are using magnets to study "the force", and Mars because it is hot and volcanic like the star wars planet Mustafar. They take their lightsabers into the woods to hunt for ewoks and Jabba food (nuts and plants). I asked him what his teachers name was and he told me "I don't know, but it is spelled S-T-A-F-F". He is a funny kid!

More Reagan

We gave Mia a princess vanity for her birthday. She loves to pretend to put makeup on and do her hair.
These are some pictures of the kids with Reagan. It shows how little she is compared to the bigger two. Danny and Mia are doing so well with her. Danny told me, before he went to bed tonight, to make sure I sang Reagan songs and bundled her up. I promised him that I would take good care of her.
This is the outfit that we brought Reagan home in. Chris had to go buy something, since we didn't expect to have such a tiny little thing that needed to be bundled up. I think he did a great job!

More Reagan

Reagan was released from the Special Care Nursery this evening. She is doing well with her feedings. The kids came up to see her today. Danny is so good with her. He sings her Twinkle Twinkle and rubs her cheek. Mia wants to help feed her and dress her and hold her. She needs to work on the gentle part. Here are some pictures.

Reagan Leigh Nolan

Well, Reagan decided to make her grand entrance a month early. She is in the special care unit so that they can keep an eye on her breathing and feeding. I just called over there and they say she is doing very well. Unfortunately for me, I can't walk until the morning and Reagan can't leave special care, so I have not been able to hold her yet. I am going to push them to let me up ASAP! She is 6 LBs and 18 Inches. A good size for being so early. Luckily we were able to have an amnio on Monday, so we knew she would be healthy.
I will post more pictures sometime tomorrow. Just wanted to give you all a sneak peak!

Ballet Class

Mia had her first Ballet Class today. As I suspected- she loved it! There are only 2 other girls in the class, both of whom are 4 and have taken a class before. Here they are dancing with hoops and ribbons.Working on some ballet move- no idea which one.
Mia posing before class.
Hopefully I can get better pictures next week- I couldn't figure out how to get the camera setting right.

Dayton Dragons

Some friends of ours had box seats for a Dayton Dragons game. It is the Cincinnati Reds minor league team. Sadly, they have a much better turn out and, probably, record than the Reds. The kids had a great time because they could run around the box. The adults actually were able to watch a good part of the game. It drizzled most of the time, so it was nice to be under cover. On Sundays, they let the kids run the bases after the game. This is Danny's second time doing this and he loves it. Here he is running with his friends Justin and Julia.

Mia was afraid of the Dragon Mascot, so Chris held her hand. She looked like she had so much fun once she got past the Dragon.

Danny started his Tennis lessons yesterday! He had so much fun and was doing pretty well. They had 20-25 kids from 4-6 years old. They broke them up into groups of 5, and each group had a coach work with them. The coach tossed 4-5 balls to each child to work on the different strokes. Tennis pro Scott helping Danny with his swing.
And more of Princess Mia, yes that is a pillow case that she is sleeping in.

Mia making a design your own purse in her tutu. I found a kit that had a canvas tote and felt stickers for decorating. She loves it and carries her baby doll Amelie in it. She starts Ballet class next week!
