Early birthday present

Mia's new car arrived on Friday. I love it. It doesn't go very fast, and I'm not sure of it's quality. But it is cute as can be! It is supposed to say VW Bug on the windshield. It says something, but not in English. It may be a little old for her, she hasn't quite figured out the steering. Danny does well in it. We did order him a Jeep for his birthday. It has a remote stopper- just in case.

Mia's stickers

We were finally able to put the stickers on Mia's wall this weekend. I think they look cute. Mia likes to try to smell them, one of them is bigger than she is. We only did a corner of the room, but I think that was plenty.

Next is Danny's room. So far, he wants it painted black (not going to happen) and can't decide if he wants planets or dinosaurs.

Our first plane ride

We took our first airplane trip this week. We flew to NJ for a few days to see my family. The kids did so well at the airport and on the plane. Chris wasn't with me, so it was a bit of a challenge getting through security. Danny carried his cars backpack with some toys and books that he chose to bring. Mia had a little bag with a few books, ducky and her Tinkerbell cell phone. I had a big backpack with sippy cups (empty of course), snacks, DVD player, crayons and much more. The people and security crew at the Philly airport were wonderfully helpful, Columbus, not so much.

Danny slept the whole plane ride home. This was fortunate, because Mia was a handful. It was so much easier to fly than I thought it would be. We will have to do it more often.

We finished painting Mia's room. The color ended up a little more of a blue than I would have liked, but it is a big improvment. Chris put her bookshelf together. I did buy some big flower stickers to put on the wall, but the paint has to dry for a few weeks first.

Best water table ever

If anyone is looking for a water table- this is the best! Both kids have plenty of room to play together. It has a side for sand and the water side is a bit small, but I put water in both sides and it is perfect. It has a lid and umbrella.

Chris brought back a soccer uniform from London for Danny- how cute!
