Lacrosse
Danny had his first Lacrosse game today! We were a little concerned because he doesn't seem to pay attention during practice, but he loved it! Here is a picture of him in all his gear. You can tell it is him because he is the only one with a black helmet (he's also the smallest guy out there).
Chasing down the ball
Playing attack- look how tiny he is compared to the others
Another action shot- he actually came away with the ball this time!
The game went very fast. Danny played attack and midi a few times and defense once. He really knew all the positions and where he was allowed to go in each position. It was a lot of fun to watch!

Skiinig
I took Danny skiing for the first time yesterday! We have a small ski area about an hour from the house, in Indiana. He took an hour long lesson with 4 other 5-7 year olds. He had a great time! He did well during his lesson. I was not allowed in the lesson area, so I tried to spy on him from another hill.
This is Danny in the blue and black. He is moving, although it doesn't look like it.
In this picture, he is just behind the ski instructor in the pink hat. Again, this is as much of an action shot as I could get. The 5 kids had 2 instructors. One instructor would stand at the top of the hill while the other stood about 1/3 of the way down. The kids would go, one by one, from the first instructor to the next. They made their way down the hill quite a few times this way. It was great! It is amazing how much easier it is for this age, compared to an adult.
And a recent picture of Reagan taking a bath in the sink.

Lacrosse
I signed Danny up for a K-2nd grade Lacrosse team. He is actually very excited about it. Chris took him today to get fitted for his stick and pads. The guys in the lacrosse shop showed Danny how to hold the stick and cradle. He still needs a helmet, but the worker mentioned needing a needle to fit the helmet (pump up the padding?) and he freaked out. He thought they were going to give him a shot. We figure we will revisit the helmet later. He starts practice mid February. In the meantime we are going to work on catching the ball- not easy!
I submitted this picture of Reagan to the Regis and Kelly beautiful baby contest. Let's face it- she is a pretty baby.

The Indianapolis Children's Museum has a Star Wars exhibit that is getting ready to go to another location. We went this weekend so that Danny could see it. It was pretty weak, but Danny enjoyed it. Here, he is standing next to Jango Fett's helmet. They also had a few of the costumes on display- Anakin, Padme Amidalla and Mace Windu. Other than that, it was some character cut-outs.
Danny is also very into mummy's right now. We thought the Egypt exhibit would have some, but they did not. The kids liked the play market place and maps though.
One of the displays that I like the most is a colored glass tower- below is a carousel that we are sitting on looking up at the spinning colors.
We bought Danny a picture atlas. Here he is showing Kona everywhere we traveled over the Christmas holiday? Kona is rivited!

Danny started his ice skating class today! Every 6 weeks or so, he is able to choose different classes to take through his school. This time they were offering ice skating. They had a bunch of kids from Kindergarten to 8th grade sign up. Danny loved it!
Towards the end of the hour, Danny decided he didn't want to use the red support bars. I think he was watching the older kids. He did very well. Next week, we will bring the bike helmet, better socks and warmer pants.

Halloween part 2
Here are a few pictures from Halloween. Danny was Commander Foxx, Mia was Alice in Wonderland and Reagan was a Ladybug. They had a great time trick or treating. Reagan slept most of the time. It was pretty cold here.
We started feeding Reagan rice cereal. She doesn't like it much so we aren't really pushing it.
