Opening Day

Springboro had their Opening Day for the Baseball league yesterday. They had a parade of all the players, food, bounce houses and all kinds of activities for the players. Danny had a blast! It was also the first game day for most of the kids. Danny is on the yellow team- number 7.

Danny in his uniform. He looks so proud and excited when he comes off the field after running the bases. The first thing he does is look for us and give us hi-fives.

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter! We had a lazy morning. We all slept in and went to brunch with some friends. Now we are watching baseball and eating candy. The kids loved seeing the Easter Bunny.

Easter 1

We finally got around to dying our Easter Eggs this afternoon. Mia had a Disney Princess kit with lots of stickers.
In this picture, she is giving us her version of a thumbs up.

Danny had a Star Wars kit- surprise, surprise! He was so excited to decorate his eggs. The kit had film strips from the old movies- this one was a clip of jaba the hut.

And the big excitement- the Tie Fighter egg!!!

T-Ball

Danny started T-ball a few weeks ago, with Chris as one of the assistant coaches. He loves T-ball! This league is a bit more structured. They are teaching the kids "proper" throwing and batting skills. This is Danny batting.

On a side note, Danny is still into star-wars. Chris found a storm trooper sweatshirt- Danny thinks it is the coolest thing ever!

More Disney

I finally loaded all the Disney pictures onto the computer. Here are some more.
Lego Captain Rex from Star Wars- Danny's favorite!!! Danny and Chris loved the Lego store so now we are turning our Thomas table into a Lego table. Danny can spend all day putting "communication centers" and Star Wars vehicles together.


The kids with Peter Pan. Our kids didn't really get into the characters. I'm not sure that the knew who most of the princesses and other characters were. They did want to see Peter Pan and Captain Hook. And they did like seeing Pooh and Tigger, and the Mickey Mouse characters.
Hollywood Studios was Danny's favorite place because of the Star Wars stuff. They had a show where Darth Vadar comes out and has lightsaber fights with members of the audience. Danny was in awe! We even named the lizard on our porch Darth Vadar.

I can't remember where this was. Epcot maybe?

Disney

We are on vacation this week! We left for Orlando on Saturday afternoon, stopping in Chatanooga TN. We decided to spend sunday exploring the area. Our favorite place was Rock City. Here are some pictures.


The kids loved it and it was the first warm day we've had in a long time.

Snow day

So, it has snowed for the past few days. School has been closed all week. We finally have enough snow to play in!!

After playing outside, we came in and had Hot chocolate. BLT's and soup for lunch. Then we sat in front of the fireplace and watched a movie. And now this is what Mia is doing!
